The Kulai-Jaya district is a district inside the state of johor malaysia ,located 29 km from Johor Baru downtown and It is located in the north of skudai.
There are also many housing estates within the township. The town is surrounded by rubber and oil palm estates.It covers kulai town, ayer bemban, bandar putra , bukit batu, Kelapa.Sawit, Sedenakb,.Sengkang, Saleng, Senai and Seelong.

Senai
Senai is a transit town situated 5 kilometres north of Skudai ( West Johor Baru ). Apart from the Senai International Airport, it is also the base for several major multinational electronics manufacturers. This sprawl town is one of the flagship zones of the Iskandar Malaysia.

The Johor International Airport is located in north Johor Baru Senai, a strategic location within Kulai-jaya District.

Kelapa Sawit
Kelapa Sawit is a small town in Johor, Malaysia. Kelapa sawit means oil palm in Malay. It is located north of Kulai town . A mainly Hakka community, many people still communicate using the hakka dialect.  ( Located next to the Sime Darby palm oil plantation )

Many locals are involved in the agriculture sector, particularly in the oil palm and rubber estates surrounding the town.
The Chinese (65.4%) are concentrated in Kulai and Senai Town while the Malay population (26.5%) mostly on FELDA settlements and on some traditional Malay villages along the old trunk road.
The Indians (7.8%) are mostly working in rubber estates, factories or run their businesses.
Many people also work in small retail shops, which are located alongside of the trunk road.
Kulai-Jaya also exports fresh vegetables to Singapore on a daily basis.

North Johor Baru Kulai-Jaya is also within the Iskandar Economic Zone (Iskandar Malaysia) where covers an area of 2217 square kilometers. It have a very good development advantages, especially in the transportation, information technology, high-tech industry, education, business, property and other industries.

 

History of Kulai
Long long time ago, there was a river in Kulai, have all kinds of fishes, also with countless tortoise.
The river every year few days before Chinese New Year , there'll be a heavy rain , on the Kulai rivers, river levels can be as high as five to six feet. The villagers live near the river must move to higher area.
After the rain, the villagers back home to clean up the house, it was found that the hundreds of tortoise climb toward the shore, then the villagers loudly shout: tortoise! Turtle!
To the place of the name eventually call turtle coming and such sound as 龟来了!龟来了!
Later, because “turtle come” in Mandarin word hard to pronounce and villagers eventually call Kulai 古来 instead of 龟来. Early this river called “龟来河”, now the river has been changed to “古来河” which means the Kulai River.
